Sara wanted to do her own scrapbook page. She did most of the work on this, with just a bit of help from me. She did a great job!

Kid Safety
In my digiscrap hopping this evening, I came across and (shamelessly) bloglifted this from: http://shawnheadleydesigns.blogspot.com/ (one of many great digiscrap blogging sites!) I think this is an important reminder for all of us who spend much of any time around children.
"Are your kids safe? The answer is most likely yes. A resounding Yes. But just to be sure, take a few minutes and answer these child safety questions. There may be some things below that you haven’t thought of…
Have you ever thought about putting a child locator device on your child?
Have you taught your child to recite his or her name, address and phone number?
Do you have a secret code word?
Does your child know to always ask for that code word (while standing a safe distance from the vehicle) before getting into a car with anyone but you?
Does your child understand that he or she should never get in a car with anyone but Mom or Dad?
Does your child know not to get into cars or go into the houses of neighbors he or she doesn’t know very well? (Have you gone over a list of acceptable neighbors?)
Does your child know to never use a public restroom alone?
Does your child know that it is okay to say “no” to adults?
Does your child know to be as loud as possible if he or she is in danger?
Does your child know that it’s okay to use physical violence, such as kicking, if they need to protect themselves from harm?
Does your child know what to do if he or she is separated from you in a public place?
Do they know how to identify a low risk adult?
Does your child know to approach a police officer or uniformed personnel if he or she has a problem?
Does your child know the body parts that are unacceptable for others to touch and which are not?
Does your child know to shout “no” or “stop” if someone touches him or her inappropriately?
Does your child know that you trust his or her instincts, and that even if your child makes a bad choice with an innocent stranger, you will support him or her?
Does your child understand that even trusted people shouldn’t ask him or her to do something that makes him or her uncomfortable?
Do they know if they are uncomfortable in a situation they should tell you immediately?"

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy!
It's hard to believe it's still February with the weather we've been having! Days sunny and bright with temperatures in the 50's...it can't possibly last. With that in mind, today Tammy, the girls, and her best friend's son, and I went to the park to play and enjoy.
On a side note, HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! (and Wesley, Trevor, Zachary, and belated birthday wishes to Kryshelle and Fisher) LOVE YOU GUYS TONS!

My Job
I borrowed this video from a friend's Facebook profile. I think it does a pretty good job of explaining my job...or most of it. I love my job, love feeling like I make a difference to some of Heavenly Father's most chosen. These babies are so helpless and innocent and beautiful. Check it out! (oh, and you might want to scroll down and pause the music player first)

Goofy
I stayed up last night, slept all day, then got up and started prepping for work. In my prepping, I got the bright idea to check my phone. Sure enough...I had a call placing me on call tonight! What are the chances of that?! Being at loose ends, I went over to hang out with Tammy and the girls (Dan was out taking his road test tonight...see their blog!). These girls are hilarious! I think someone poured sugar down their throats. Tammy denies all knowledge. I'm going to try to share some videos of them. We'll see how it goes. The first one, I wasn't aware my camera was on video, and caught Abby 'Cheesing' for the camera. She loves having her pic taken. The second one, I looked over and Jayne was doing this. It was so funny. They then turned on the radio and went berserk - dancing, jumping and running around. All the better for sleeping well tonight!

I don't get it!
So, everyone's posting their '25 Things About Me' on Facebook. I'd give in to the peer pressure, but I've decided to put my own spin on things. Here's my version:
Things I Just Don't 'Get'!
1. When you wear baggy pants, the waistband of which is below your hiney, WHY WEAR A BELT?
2. Why do some girls tease their hair so much that it looks half as long and they look like they are balloon heads?
3. Why do kids (and most adults...*GUILTY*) sit around complaining about 'nothing to do' and yet when offered the options, don't want to do any of them?
4. Why does winter seem so long and summer just fly by?
5. Why do the years get shorter and quicker the older you get? What happened to the past five years?!
6. Why do light colored animals shed all over you when you are wearing dark clothes and dark animals when you are wearing light colors?
7. Why do clothing manufacturers only make clothes to fit women of a certain shape, a shape that I know NOONE who actually fits?
8. Why do my favorite shows always have reruns on the weeks I'm home and the new episodes air when I work?
9. Why is chocolate so darn addictive?
10. Why does your body hurt equally if you sit on your tush all day or if you do a full workout?
11. Why do we women have to cramp, bloat, and be emotional rollercoasters? Can't we just pick one?!
12. Why are kids so very aggravating one moment and so cute you just want to love them to pieces the next?
13. When you pay $$$ for an item, it breaks down the next month, but when you hardly squeeze out a dime for something else, it NEVER runs down?
14. Why do two people who are totally different often get along so much better than two people who are very alike?
15. Why are guys obsessed with finding Miss Perfect and not obsessed with becoming Mr. Perfect, themselves?
16. Speaking of guys...where are the nice guys (not perfect, just nice...and single) in my age group? Anyone?
17. What is it about the changing of the seasons that makes us so antsy for change, new beginnings?
18. Why is it so hard to save up for the big, important things and so easy to waste money on silly little things?
19. Why do people who smoke think it doesn't affect others around them (like downstairs neighbors who smoke indoors and smoke me OUT!)?
20. Why do people hate being in Nursery? ( I love it, I just wish I could stop sleeping in and missing it!)
21. Why isn't it any fun to go to the gym alone?
22. Why don't most gyms stay open all night? (I could seriously get in shape with all that free time I usually have!)
23. Why is it that you can be starving and nothing sounds good to eat? (I think this goes with the bored and nothing sounds fun question)
24. Why do the people I love have to live so far from each other? I can live near some of them at a time, but not all of them. :~(
25. Why did I take the time to do this? No, seriously, I have several other things I could be doing! :)
Hope you enjoyed! Tell me, what kinds of things do you not get?
